With substances with antioxidant

The regular intake of substances with antioxidant activity is associated with reduced incidence of cardiovascular disease. One of the main production mechanisms of atherosclerosis (narrowing of the diameter of the arteries that hinders the passage of blood), source of most cardiovascular diseases, is the oxidation of LDL-c. They act against it, among others, the following substances:
Vitamin E: vegetable oil virgin first cold pressing, oil-bearing nuts and wheat germ.
Vitamin C: pepper oil, citrus, kiwi fruit, vegetables from the cabbage family, tomatoes, etc..
Own vegetable dyes: lycopene (da red tomatoes), beta carotene (yellow, orange or red in vegetables such as carrots, pumpkin, mango ...).
Phenolic compounds: chemical compounds present in vegetables, red wine, grape juice, tea, vegetables and fruits ...
Certain minerals zinc (meat, fish, eggs) and selenium (meat, fish, eggs and seafood).
Sulfur compounds: vegetables from the cabbage family, onions, garlic ..
